Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis – Misnomer !

As we all know that there is a pediatric condition called SCFE which is seen in adoloscent boys.

In reality , the capital epiphysis doesn’t slip but it stays seated inside the acetabulum with physeal disruption , the neck rotates anteriorly and gets externally rotated.

Technically the Capital Femoral Epiphysis becomes posterior.
